Before Bed

10:44 PM

Currently writing while having a long phone call with my bestie. It's 10 pm and I'm usually asleep already. But I guess tonight's an exception. I love thinking at night, maybe because I rarely do that. And once I do, my mind feels like it's setting its own self-destruct button. I'm thinking and thinking until I get to the point where I think about the reason I'm thinking about a particular topic.

Yes, I can be too difficult to be understood just sometimes.

I don't want to sound ungrateful but school's been such hell of a pain lately. My grades are going down swinging and finals are in two weeks ((kill me)). Hopefully I can kill those tests instead of myself (which I highly doubt I'd do that for myself--my body and soul--are the only thing I have). It gets me thinking why nowadays school has become a torture to its students.

But well I'm also very grateful for the past weekends I was out of town having my journey to this village of Baduy somewhere in Banten. It was amazing and I'm happy to finally put a tick on one of my wishlists.

Baduy was magnificent. And I sure am suggesting you who read this to spent at least one weekend of your life in Baduy's pure village. It is pollution-free, very natural, very humble yet challenging. I had to walk nearly 8 kilometres to get to its two most-iconic bridges.

My mind randomly wanders off to Bandung. Idk, I miss that town so much. My last visit wasn't so good for I got there far too late to do things and I did not see the city. I'm definitely looking forward to the next visit and the next visit, and the next visit too.

It's late already, I'm off of my bedtime too far. What a bummer, Ayas. You promised yourself to sleep before 9 pm and here you are now. You know you're not a night owl, are you?

That's really it. My ramble ends here. Glad to snap them out on the blog to at least make me feeling a little lighter now. Reason #1 to love writing; it's a way to pour my complex thought and I can always re-read them.

Have a good sleep, Night People.

Spreading good vibes,
Sarita Ayas
